Written in 1654, “The True-Gospel Faith Declared According to the Scriptures” is one of the earliest Baptist Confessions. It affirms the sinfulness of man, the resurrection of Christ, etc. However, what I found most interesting was the letter which accompanied the confession.  The following is an excerpt from that letter.
